Kimberly Harrington has served as director of public relations for Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C., since 2017.

She was director of marketing and public relations for a healthcare facility prior to serving in higher education.

She is an award-winning writer with 23 years in journalism, having worked at various newspapers throughout southeastern North Carolina and in South Carolina.

A graduate of Winston-Salem State University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Spanish. She is also a graduate of Leadership Anson, Leadership Richmond, and Leadership Rowan,

Kimberly is an avid traveler to the continent of Africa, having spent time in Johannesburg, South Africa; Liberia, West Africa; and Kenya. She is a member of Team USA for the development of the Pan African Heritage World Museum in Ghana, West Africa.

The daughter of Sarah Harrington of Lilesville and the late T.C. Ratliff, she is in the process of adopting a child from Liberia.
