It seems like every time you turn around there’s another new marketing channel available. University marketers usually do a good job choosing channels relevant to their audiences, but then struggle to integrate and measure their campaigns. Learn how you can make your marketing more effective and better measure the results.

Our panelists will answer your questions about marketing to adult learners, military prospects, community college transfers, as well as traditional students. Our 2017 panelists were:
- Jeffrey L. Allen is the Dean of Enrollment & Outreach at Vance-Granville Community College. Jeffrey’s professional background includes 14 years of K-12 experience and 5 years of higher education experience. He is currently working on his doctoral degree.
- Anthony Brooks is the Chief Enrollment Management Officer at Shaw University, where he has implemented data-driven recruitment strategies. He has served in enrollment and admissions roles with several other universities, as well as working as a higher-ed consultant.
- Dr. Kim Cliett Long is with Adult Learners NOW, with a business model focused on helping universities quickly set up online learning programs and market them to students. She formerly served at Wiley College as Associate Provost for Administration and Extended Education.
- General Anthony J. Tata has more than three decades of public service as a military officer and in leadership roles at the county and state level, including serving as Superintendent of the Wake County Public School System, with more than 150,000 students. He is currently the president of defense, transportation and energy services company, KaylaTek, LLC,
Noon – 1:45p Presidential Panel & Lunch
The Presidential Panel – a conference favorite – is back! Hear how Presidents are addressing challenges in the ever-changing HBCU higher-ed environment. Presidents and Chancellors, including Dr. Phyllis Dawkins (President, Bennett College), Dr. Paulette Dillard (Interim President, Shaw University), Richard Gallot, J.D. (President, Grambling State University), and Dr. Elwood Robinson (Chancellor, Winston-Salem State University), field questions on enrollment management and other topics of interest from the audience. Come prepared!
Conference note: Chancellor Robinson was unable to attend due to a last-minute death in the WSSU family. President Dawkins was unable to attend due to illness; Andrea Harris, a Trustee at Bennett College, took her place on the panel.
